FAQ - Questions - Reviews on DeWalt 18v Battery
- What polarity are the terminals on a 18v dewalt battery?
Hi, there are three terminals on top of a dewalt 18v battery. I believe the left one is negative the right is positive but what it the middle one? Is it also a negative? Or a ground? Thanks

A I don't remember off hand. I would use a Volt Meter to determine what contacts are what. The center is a connection you don't need to be concerned about.
- If I left a Dewalt 18v battery on the charging cradle for a really long time without removing it...?
would it die faster if I never used the battery or would it stay new?

A The DeWalt charger shuts off once the battery is at full charge. At that point the charger just becomes a battery holder. You can test this by lifting the battery out and immediately replacing it in the charger. It should go into the charge cycle briefly
